Our salesman is fearless, he is dauntless, he is strong and he needs a deal real bad. This is his 3rd month on this job, selling software to medium to large enterprises, and the tension is growing in each Monday morning sales pipeline call. Each day, each hour, each minute that ticks off without moving deals flames his concern.
See, this is a hot box market; not much different than a professional athlete that is only as good as his last game and the game is getting harder. After all, the guy carrying the bag for the competition is a pro too. “What have you done for me lately.” asks the sales exec. “Gettin there boss.” is the salesguy’s reply, “Getting there, boss…” His fingers are crossed.
